A seminar was organized by our faculty to draw attention to the rapidly spreading AIDS disease. The seminar held at Prof Dr Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall on Wednesday, December 11 started at 13.30.

An “Awareness Seminar” was held in cooperation with our Faculty and Muş Provincial Health Directorate, Infectious Diseases Branch Directorate, in order to draw attention to AIDS, to raise awareness about the ways in which the HIV virus spreads and the treatment process of AIDS. In the seminar coordinated by our Faculty Vice Dean Assitant Professor Yalçın Dicle, more than one topic was focused on.
The rapid increase in the disease was pointed
Dr Dicle, who made the opening speech of the seminar, stated in his speech that the prevalence of AIDS in Turkey has increased by 450%, according to recent studies. After emphasizing the importance of disseminating disease awareness and treatment programs, Dicle left the floor to Public Health Specialist Dr İlke Üçüncü. Dr Üçüncü explained the epidemiology of AIDS, preventive measures and treatment methods in detail.
The seminar was held with the participation of the academic and administrative staff of our Faculty, the personnel of the Provincial Health Directorate Sabahat Moralılar Cansever, Songül Subaşı, Necmettin Şen and their students. After the question-answer session at the seminar, which attracted great interest, our Faculty Dean Prof Dr Hüseyin Kırımoğlu presented a certificate of appreciation to the guest participant Dr Üçüncü.
