Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Health Sciences Social and Academic Awareness Society held an awareness seminar called "Disasters and Child Psychology" in order to draw attention to the field of child psychology after the disasters we have experienced recently.
This week's guest of the seminar titled "Disasters and Child Psychology", which is held regularly by the Social and Academic Awareness Community, was Murat GENÇ, a research assistant at Muş Alparslan University, Faculty of Health Sciences.
The seminar, which was prepared to draw attention to the importance of child mental health after the recent unfortunate disasters across the country, was moderated by Social and Academic Awareness Community consultant and Dr. Lecturer Özgür YEŞİLYURT, who is also the Head of the Social Work Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Muş Alparslan University.
In the seminar held on the online platform, research assistant Murat GENÇ gave information about the preventive mental health measures that can be taken for children after a disaster and the processes of early diagnosis and appropriate guidance for psychological problems. The seminar, with participation from many different professions and age groups, ended after the question-answer session.
