On 16.12.2021 and 17.12.2021, at 14.00, an awareness seminar was given to the personnel working in the Ministry of Justice Muş E-Type Closed Penal Institution and to the detainees and convicts on “Harms of drugs and stimulants” and “Methods of combating addiction”. The seminars were carried out by Doctor Ayşin ÇETİNKAYA BÜYÜKBODUR, who is a faculty member in the department. In the seminars, information was given about the harms of addiction to the individual and the family system, the risks that individuals may encounter due to addictive substances, the ways to protect themselves from addictive substances, and the institutions and organizations that individuals with addiction can apply to. Emphasizing the importance of protective-preventive studies, it was stated that it is necessary to focus primarily on the families at risk and their environment. It was stated that it is important for individuals to apply to psychosocial support services in various crisis situations that they may encounter in the course of their lives.
